So those of you who voted that she would be born on her due date were almost right! Christina started feeling contractions around 6 AM on Friday morning. We went to the hospital that day but were told to return when they were closer together. By 3 AM on Saturday, Mama Christina was in need of some pain relief, so we returned to St. Mark's. After a day of mega contractions, a much-welcome epidural, and lots of waiting, Carmen finally decided to join us. To show that our concerns about her digestive tract were unfounded, she promptly pooped on the doctor's shoe the moment she came out (that embarrassing story will no doubt haunt her for the rest of her life).
