Camping with Tio George

Christina's brother George was with us this past week, driving in from Chicago (!) and arriving on the 4th. We gave him a good dose of the outdoors: fishing at Jordanelle Reservoir (where we're thinking of having a cook-out when the family's in town for Miss Jo's birthday) and camping in the Uinta Mountains at Lost Creek.

These pix are from our camping trip--Carmen Sr.'s first time in the sticks, where she endured mosquitos and low temperatures with us rugged individualists. The six of us (and George's dog, Brandy) stayed one night, and then George and Brandy stayed another night to get some fishing in.

Chiqui of the North braves the chilly morning!

The cook assembles breakfast. Gotta love the camp hair!

Carmen got the most sleep of any of us (and was probably the warmest).

Back home in much less rugged conditions, Carmencita models a new summer outfit.
